A few changes and a new one!!

Its been a few week since we did our last update but we have been beavering away either updating the design on a few older sites and also launching our new Beauty website this is allied to promote Amazon products and the early indications are starting to look good,we are hoping to get orders in from the christmas season and we hope we still have time to promote the site as its brand new and also get some nice orders as well.

It wont be long before the festive season is here and we are hoping we will see a spending spree rather than people cutting back as a rsult of the world financial problems.

Its been a very busy week for us as we have 2 new sites,one is a new site and the other is old site that we have had for about 3 years but never done anything with it,but we will start with the old site this was small and i guess search engine would be the best way to decribe it but we lost the original site when our server crashed about 18 months back so we just stuck a free small script on the domain to keep it exposed to the search engines.Anyway we found a lovely little script and have added it during the last few days although no revenue has been earnt from the site it should be a nice little earner over time this being to it having a domain that is 3 years old,well thats the theory anyway and Google often do back this theory up as well.

Our 2nd site is another Designer Clothes this we are using the same type of script that we bought a licence for about a month back and as we had a few spare domains not doing alot we decided to add the script and see if we could make some revenue from the domain,it did not take alot of time sub 1 hour to setup and even if it earn a small amount per month it has to be better than zero.

Right that our update for the week,its the weekend so its chill out time.

So whats the latest news from us then,well we have just added another small designer clothes site to our portfolio its not totally finished as yet but everthing works but we plan to change its design and make it more modern looking.This should be finished within the next 10 days or so but we are waiting for some artwork to be made.

The SEO and promoting of the site has been started and we are building up and the backlinks and will also be adding some articales as this is what Google search are looking for,the site is all ready indexed in all the 3 main search engines but we wont see any of the major keywords high in the search results for many months but it will happen.

Over the last few weeks we have been working on our latest creation which is a womans clothing website this was based on a standard script that we have purchased but has been heavily modified to our needs and i have to say it looks stunning,the site was finally finished yesterday and the daunting task of promoting a new site has begun.

Yes i will agree this sector or niche does have a few big players in it but we think that it can take another site,the early indications look good and we did ask for feedback on how the site looks and performs and they all indicate that we have got it right.

We will keep you all updated on how this new venture goes.

A massive new server for our hosting site.

Over this last week or so we have been doing some major work to our web hosting site by adding a top flight dedicated server that will increase speeds for our cliets websites,with this move we can offer more storage space and bandwidth for the already low prices !!!

The feedback from our clients is rather refreshing as they had been notified by email about the transfer and everything when as smooth as anyone hoped for,if clients are kept upto date on what is happening they dont worry and this reflects in them telling other webmasters about the high quality backup and customer service i feel these 2 things as well as a reliable server/s can either make or break a customers reputation and our aim has been to excell in all of these areas if we dont i think people could start to leave and find other hosting companies and no one wants this of course.

Anyway we are very pleased with the rapid expansion of our hosting site and look forward to it growing over the years.

The new Panda affect !!!

Not sure what has happened of late but gut feeling tells me its this new Panda system that Google have introduced and one of our top site Disposable Email was upto about No9 for a few major keywords but this last week we dropped down to No26 which i have to admit i was shocked but it tells us that we need to continue to build quality links to start to get the site up higher again.This we will be doing over the coming days,i think what has happened if i sit down and try and work out what has happened we spend months building up the links and this did improve the PR as well as a higher placing in google search but we did slack off and over a few months it started to drop off again.

So linking will be started again this week and we hope to regain our former glory.

We recently started a new venture in Web hosting and yes this was a niche that we have never been in before so it has been a very big learning curve for us but after a few small set backs on a few things that we had over looked we have had some orders placed for vps hosting and this is great news as we are sure that over time it will start to grow very rapidlly.

Yes we are aware that this niche has many big sites offering the same type of service or facility but our motto of 'Quality hosting at Affordable prices' will be our trump card and should bring us many customers,if you offer a high quality and reliable service you will be always be onto a winner.

In cyber space is see quality of the service or product and customer support as the 2 most important ingrediants to success.

Well after we bought our latest domain we have installed the site on a wordpress platform here is the site as it currently is Real Time Prices
it is still in the early stages yet and we aim to add alot more content but it is up and running,as we are all aware its not just a case of making a site anyone can have one up and running in minutes but the hardest bit yet too come is the promoting of the site,this will take time and we can see it taking upto 6 months getting fully indexed but that is how thing work with websites.

If you start to promote the sites heavily in the 1st few weeks this will send up a reg flag and you could end up being worse off.

We will of course keep you updated on our new venture.

A new domain for a brand new project!!

I got a bit bored today so was looking for a brand new project to start and was thinking about the world commodity prices like gold and silver and the high prices they are rising at the moment.so i thought about a site that will provide real time prices for the most common commodities and also upto date information.

The domain that i have bought is Realtime prices it was available so i bought it,well it has a few very important keywords in the domain and can be used for all prices not only say gold or silver so this is the main reason we purchased it,we will of course start out with gold and silver but have the ability to add any realtime prices in the future like say copper and oil.

The site should go live within a few days and then we will start the next stage of this project the design stage or layout of the site,we will update you all on how the project is progressing.

Today we changed scripts on our Disposable email site from one that was not really upto the job,so rather than have a site that we could not rely on it seemed the sound thing to do and change it,the site is up and running on a brand new server but the site is not totally how we like it design wise.

Getting the look right will come over the next week or so but the end result will look stunning.

We decided a few weeks back that our Filehosting site was being held back due mainly to speed issues with file downloads,we thought about this and the only way to address this problem was to install the site on a faster server this has been completed and without any major issue,its been running for nearly a week without any glitches so we are well pleased and will certainly increase download speed.

They say that sex sells,well i have to say they are right,we bought a very small Adult Image Host site about 2 years ago for $30 from a guy who had done all the hardwork and set the site up but then he mentioned that he had no idea on how to make any revenue from the site and hence this is the reason he decided to sell it.

Initially the site for the 1st was very slow to grow and then we got hit by a server problem that wiped the site out and all the images and with no backup at that time it seemed a pointless exercise to start it up again but we had nothing to loose so we went ahead and rebuilt it.

The 2nd time around of building it up it was even slower but then in the last 6 months the traffic and revenue have just started to explode,and as it runs on autopilot its a pleasure to have in our portfolio.

So the old saying that goes 'when you are down dust yourself off and start all over again' is very true,well in our case it is.

New support Blog for our Disposable Email site.

After we transfered our Disposable email to a new server a few weeks back the site was down for about 5 hours and we at that time had no way of notifying our visitors what was about to happen we then had a cunning plan and decided to add a Support Blog this will then allow us to highlight what we are about to do say the server or alterations to the site design wise.

Its such a simple idea and works very well,it also allows our visitors to leave feedback on what type of new functions that they would like to see on the site and also if they are having issues using the site.

As yet we have not needed to add any comments and as they often say no news is good news.

Google have just done a Page Ranking and most of our sites are on the up.

Today we have noticed that Google have done a pagerank update the 1st since i think april 2010 and most of our sites have been upgraded which has to be seen that we are doing the right thing SEO wise.

The best news is our newish disposable email site that has gone straight into the rankings with a PR3 i am blown away with this news,we have many other sites that are up and some that are the same but none that have gone down.

Another site which has amazed us with a eise is one of our proxy sites this only cost me $5 and we never have done any promotion on it and this has also gone in as a PR3 rating the only reason we bought the site was to use it to promote some of our other sites,not that i am complaining but why it has risen its possible that it may be a established domain.I guess who cares just enjoy it.

A new venture launched for 2011

2011 is finally here and we have started the new year with potentially our biggest project yet this is a site that provides anyone with a webite or a blog to add a digital counter http://www.counterthe.net is the new baby which we hought was a cracking domain name for such a new project.

The site is all up and running on a big dedicated server because over time it will start to use some storage for all the real time stats that we have to keep.

It still needs a few small details finished but it is all fully functional and runs very well,with double back to keep all the logs secure we have certainly gone into 2011 with a big bang.

So what is happening as we go into the final part of the year ???

Its been a very unusual time for our business,we had been trying to stop adding new sites as some times you can have quantity instead of quality but we had to find out the hard way i guess this all part of the learning curve !!!

One site we have had to change although the site was a good quality site it was being abused by a few people who got us reported to our hosting people and i guess the bottom line is if we had allowed it to carry on we would have been shut down,so we have changed the site from being a short url to a proxy site this was the only thing that we could do in the short term long term we are not sure but in its current state albeit it not as slick as the original site the stress of receiving warning from the hosting comapny has gone.

One site that is really gathering momentum is our small basic disposable email this although is a very basic design just proves that you dont need a massive fancy 'all singing all dancing' site,and we are currently climbing near the top10 for the keywords disposable email this we hope will become one of our top sites.

Expanding the business net wider,well we have been trying to get into angel/venture investing all though we have actually starting we have started in the micro loans to private individuals rather than small start ups but we have started the proces to get into lending via a 3rd party to small start ups which will be a move in the right direction.
Its frustrating when you have a good idea but are having problems putting it into practice but we are learning and we will finally get it up and running in 2011 we hope.

Christmas is less than a month away so we are looking at taking a few rest days off and i am looking at taking my 1st holiday next years this will be the 1st one for 4 years,when you start a new venture up we all have to give up some major activities like holidays and other expensive toys like cars.

Its possible we will get some more updates before christmas infact we are certain we will,so stay tuned.

Alternative investments to our website business.

We have come to a stage that all our current websites are finished and most are making money at long last and they will increase as they get more mature,we will still be fine tuning tuning the sites and adding extra content.

We have decided to diversify into angel/venture capital although this is still early days as yet we are setting up a new website mainly for advice and guidance and then i guess we hope to get into actual investing in a small way into new internet startup's that the big companies are not interested in as we can see a niche in this sector for small cash investments.

Another area that we have already started up in is small loans these could be either personal or business loans and currently we are getting much higher returns that what we could get in any other investment vehicale,so this is why we getting into this niche aswell.

This year has been a funny year really as it has nether been a good or a bad year revenue wise but at least we are still moving forward with the business all though cash flow has been our biggest headache but we have survived by boxing clever as they say.

Anyway we will update you on how our new site is progressing within the next week or so.

Its been a month since we last posted but alot has happened we have added a few new sites and upgraded a few more,the new one that we have aquired at a very small outlay is a adult video site this was a site that someone had setup and done some promoting of the site but had no idea on how to ear revenue which is a bit bizzare but it his loss and our gain.

Another few site we have been working on are a new iphone cases site this is still been worked on and although it is live is not how it will look after its all setup this is because we are getting a brand new template made for the site,and the newest site we have is a website valuation site this has to be seen as a fun guide line on what a site is worth but it does give the visitor a tremendous free back link.

We are still working on our venture to date this will be a angel/venture capital site that brings investors and clients together to invest in new internet start ups,this we have to say is moving very slowly and because of this we cannot even give a finish date for this project but once it is finished it will be very very big.

We will update you next in about a weeks time.

Expansion is the name of the game here we have been expanding a few of our older sites and adding a few new ones.

Our URL Shortening site has started to become a real hit as in the short time the site has been up and running we have seena massive amount of visitors using the facilities which has suprised us really but we cannot complain really.

Emailthe.net our disposable email site has shot up the google search for many of the main keywords and this will get us into the top 20 for many of these keywords in a very short time duration.

Overal the month of June was superb for us and i think we are back to the position we had been early last year which is very pleasing i am certain that the worst of the recession is over and we are back on target again for a great 2nd half to the year.

We mentioned last month that we had given ourselves a massive target to double our revenue in June well we are on target to achieve this but only just,its been exciting as well as a certain amount of stress but its all been worth it.

So what have we been doing well its been a mixture of promoting some of our older sites and also a few new ones,this is a brand new site which is a disposable email site which is used to reduce the spam that we all receive in our normal or business email so people use our site and it then is open for a 24hour time duration and after that you can extend it or just let it shut down and a amazing thing is this facilty is free.

Another new site that we have also setup is a URL shortening site this is for reducing the sometimes massive URL's into a smaller one for use on twitter and in emails,and we have designed the site to be uncluttered on the front end but all the heavy number crunching is done behind the seen and this is done all on a very fast server and the performance is amazing.

Another area that we have been working on is with keyword promotion on the sites this is time consuming but vitally important task that has to be done and the job is also ongoing which is a bit of a pain in the butt but it has to be done.

We will report again in another week or so to update on how we are doing and also at the end of the month this will be the all important update to see if we have made it or not.

Anyway we hope you are all starting to come out of the recession that we have been in for the last 18 months or so,we certainly have so we are very please to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Its been a few weeks since we last posted but alot has happened in fact more has happened in the last couple of weeks than in the last 9 months,why you ask your self well we have decided to start some new sites,update some old ones and buy some brand new ones.

We have bought our selves 3 brand new proxy site these are established sites with really good traffic and we bought these at some amazing price that was so goo we could not afford to miss this deal this is one of these Proxy site it has some amazing potential not only its own revenue that it earns but in promoting other sites so its a wi win situation.

We have finished doing one of our adult sites from a complicated script that never really worked to a good reliable script so we should start to see some progress on this one over the summer.

Our aim is to double revenue by the end of June and we only have a short time duration to do this in so its a big challenge but we feel it can be achieved or should i say we hope so.

Its a bank holiday over here in the UK so tomorrow is chill out day,we hope the sun comes out again as it was none stop rain yesterday.

Adult Image Hosting site.

Its a lovely sunny day so we have decided to do a quick update on the Blog so what is new then,well we have started a few small blogs these are based on gardening and venture capital we have started posting on them but over time these should start to build up as they look some what bare at the moment.

One of our adult site is starting to do well this originally started out as being a small filehosting site that adults could upload all types of legal adult file this could be images,videos infact anything that they wanted to either keep away from kids away from the family pc or keeping it private from partners well we had a few problems with the script but we changed over to a imagehosting script so that just adult images could be uploaded and this has proved to be a fantastic move.

Not so good news on our adult video sites we bought 3 scripts all the same we initially just setup the one site but we found out after trying to download the other 2 some months later the download link does not work and we cannot get in contact with these people so it looks like we may have to right these 2 scripts off hindsight is a great thing but i guess we should have installed all of them at the same time.

Over the last 24 hrs we have been working on our latest venture and this site has some massive potential as it is aimed at the US market and that has the highest revenue going,so the script was upload and we have started working on the design which is nearly finished but like most things in cyber space you are always fine tuning the site.

Here is the link to the site My Files Forever it has been installed on our lates dedicated server which has the power to run this site for say the next 6 months or so then if it really takes off we will look at adding another one.

One of our sites Adultthe.net is causing us a small problem the site is based on a filehosting script but it has become un-reliable over the past month or so and its time to change it to a adult image hosting site instead of a filehost for adult material,the reason is we feel that as the site was having problems it was not being used but transfering it over as dedicated adult image hosting site it will be much more popular and hence will earn more revenue.

Anyway its a bank holiday here in the UK and true to form the weather is rain and yes the forcast for tomorrow when people go back to work is nice and sunny.

Its exciting times at the moment as we have a few new ventures on the go the 1st one being a joint partnership on a potentially big File hosting site this is still in the setup stage as we only installed the script last night but we aim to complete it with all the art work and new logo by the weekend but this is subject to everything going right.

Another site we have been sorting out was our old proxy site this was a site we have had for maybe a year and it was all up and running but we lost it when our server went down last year but decided it was time to dust it off and get in up and running again,yes it is basic but it does work well and we aim to use this to promote some of our other sites it will never earn any serious revenue and nver did do but it earned its keep by adding links to our top sites.

Its a bandk holiday here on this coming monday so we may be a day or so late in updating the blog but we will still be doing some promoting on the sites.

A few changes in they way we earn our revenue !!!!

Just made a few changes to the way that we earn revenue so that we in theory can increase it by 25 % and we are looking at going beyond this over the next few months and all this can be achieved by experimenting with different size advert/colours and using other affiliations and we have started the change as from today.

As it is still early days we wont get any feedback from our stats till early next week but we have found just by some simple changes can increase revenue just by changing the colour of the adverts.

We had only been using a few forms of revenue like adsense,adbrite and clicksor a maybe a few more smaller companies to spread the load as we felt that having all your eggs in one basket was asking for trouble as you hear so many times about people loosing the adsense account.

But today we had started adding adverts from CJ.com which are i think the largest affiliation company in the world but i am not 100% sure but they are big anyway and after hearing reports that people have doubled or tripled earning using CJ we thought why not,we have had this account for about 3 years but in the last 18 months i had totally forgotten about it,but rather than loose it we are going to start using it again.

Right the sun is out so it time to cut the lawn.

Commodities, Properties and Food !!!!

As it was long holiday weekend i had time to think a few things over and i kept thinking about 3 things Commodities,Food and Properties as these things have been in the last 20 years the hottest area in the civilised world.And i will expand as we all understand that property prices have always been the best investment long term as if you own your own house you will have seen the price rise many fold from what you originally payed for it i will agree we see peaks and trough but its all plain to see its a dead cert winner,the other one i mentioned is food even when times are good or bad we all have to eat so this is also a no brainer and this brings us to the last one Commodities just look at the price of gold and you will understand what i am on about.

So how are we going to jump on the bandwagon well i have to say i dont have a clue,the logic move would be setup some websites that are related in the 3 areas and over the next few days i am thinking about setting up 3 Blogs as they can be setup very cheaply and at least it will be a step in the right direction and we will go from those Blogs leading towards towards the next step which i will admit i have no idea.

I have a few domains in our portfolio that i could use so that is a big bonus as some of these are about 2-3 years old.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this one as it is un-chartered watwer for use and some input would be most welcome.

Google Page Rank in progress !!!!

We have see some activity from Google today with the latest Page Ranking and after checking our site we are pleased that some have moved up and our 2 top sites are gradually moving slowly to PR2 these are our FileHosting and our Rapidshare but our url shortening site has just missed out oh well it just means that we will have to wait till next time and i am certain that if we carry on promoting that site like all the other we will get a higher one with that site as well.

None of our Adult site moving up the ranking which i am not really worried about as they are much harder to promote than any normal site anway,but its the visitors to these sites that are increasing and this is what you want with these sites.

Its Easter sunday tomorrow so bang goes peoples diets with all the chocalate easter eggs being eaten people will pile the weight on,any way we wish you the very best for the rest of the weekend and we will update you soon.

Well Easter is finally here and we hope you all have a great time with family and friends.

So what have we been upto well a few alterations to some of our older sites and also looking at our next project and we have chosen a site that give a rough valuation of how much websites are by using various standard information that is available and then roughly works out how much the visitors site is worth and it has to be seen as a rough guide and nothing else.

We have chosen the domain name which we will keep under wraps at the moment and we also have a script which will be altered to our needs,these sites are always popular and we feel that as more and more websites appear in cyberspace people will always want to find out the rough value and also how well they are promoting the sites.

Our new url shortening site www.twurlit.com is starting to grow and should start to grow over the next month or so which will be nice as it is a growing niche to be in.

We will be taking a nice few break over the weekend and i would like to once again wish you all a Happy Easter.

We have been working on the new site http://www.twurlit.com this is our URL shortening site that has many uses to reduce very long domain names to a much smaller one these type of sites are very popular for people who use Twitter and many other popular sites.

After the site was installed which initially was setup on our smaller and slower server but this has since been transfer over to the much bigger server,its mainly the speed and the bandwidth that are required to run these type of sites.

After we had the bombshell drop on us about our server guy leaving us at short notice we had a stroke of luck that we found someone else to fill the position nearly straight away and i have to say he is fantastic and takes all the worry of looking after the servers away from us,so that we can promote the sites.

This is only a brief update as it is a short working week due too Easter we may do another update later on friday.

A Major hacking attempt on our Servers.

2 days ago i went to do a routine check on our sites and then i found that one of our sites had some images erased and then on further checking we had been hacked and they had gained entry too a few of the sites to say i was gutted in a understatement but i got our new server guy to check on everything and give us feedback on the damage and they had gained entry via our new imagehosting site this has since been found out had a mjor loophole in the script and was able to give hackers access to the site.A new patch has been issued to cover the problem but its like after the horse has bolted.

We have gone over the server with a fine tooth comb and have covered ourselves with every form of security going so that we can reduce the risk down even further but i have to say we have been very lucky with this attack and i guess it could have been worse.

Our new Rapidshare link is gather momentum very quickly and we will transfering the site over to our bigger server during the week as the current server does not offer the speed and bandwidth facilities that the bigger one can offer.

What a Differance a day makes 24 little hours.

Amazing news we have just received !!! i mentioned on a webmasters forum about the problems we had about our server support and within hours i received 2 emails saying that these people can support our servers exactly the same as before and this morning i have concluded a deal with a guy from Australia i feel he can offer the same service and maybe more for a slight reduction in price at the same time.I was asking questions and his replies gave me positive confidance in his service.

So although it look like 1 or 2 of the sites maybe too big for us to handle and we may have to let them go we are back exactly as we had been as if nothing had happened,to say i am over the moon is a understatement and it really is great news.

I am also teaming up with a guy in the US about setting up a adult video site which i am looking forward too and this project could be started as early as this weekend but it will happen its just the time when it happens.

As you can tell i am on a high at the moment and i will keep you updated as we progress forward.

Over the last 24 hours after out server guy has had too leave us as a result of Ill Health and Family problems we are possibly looking to sell our Flagship website our FileHosting site this is a result of although the site is running very well i am getting to the stahe of thinking that we maybe unable to support it ourselves any longer,the gut wreching thing about it is that we have had all the heartache of setting up the site and making it a serious playing in the market place only to loose it because of the support side of it.

I am totally gutted by this although no final decision has been made i cannot see any other way forward to resolve this major millstone around our neck,unless i can find a replacement for our server guy quickly the big site will have to go or it will as i fear die and then will be worthless.

If anyone has any suggestions on this one we are more than willing to listing.

Well we had some bad news last night that our server guy who has work with us for 2 years and help setup our sites has had to stand down due to health and personal problems and i was devistated with this news as he had become a personal friend as well as someone i worked along side.

So with this bad news i has to re-think what we have to do to over come this problem and as luck would have it i have found a replacement and he is from New Zealand so all though i have lost a good friend we will still keep in contact,but we have re-grouped and all is not as bad as 1st thought.

We have also had some interesting news from a friend who lives in Florida and he mentioned about setting up as a partner in a new website so that could be interesting and possibly spread the risk factor and expand our business interests,this i have to say in new territory for me as i have never teamed up with anyone else but its only for this one site so even if it goes belly up all we have lost is a little time and no money as such.

We are running a week or so behind with the url shortening site this is due to a few problems choosing which script to use but we have chosen one that will expand and not need replacing in say 12 months time.

After this problem last night and also joining in a project with someone else this has made me think about spreading our wings and get into a few more projects out side of cyberspace,the trouble with me and possible a big downfall is although i am not afraid of taking risks which you do have to in business but i am also a creature of habit and this i feel could be a tough challenge ut we will have a go and possibly good thinks may come from it.

A new URL shortening site is in the making.

Well here we are on our latest venture its going to be a URL shortening site which we hope to be going live within a few days we have the script and all the artwork has been produced and even the server has been upgraded to cope with the hugh traffic demands that these sites can generate.

Its been a very busy time for us of late as we have been building the sites back up after our drastic server problem last year but we are gaining traction and some of the sites are even better looking than before so in a way its good news but it will take a few more months to even get to what revenue we earnt before.

So what are out future projects or ventures going to be,this is going to be a tough question to answer as we just do not have any idea what appears to be happening we start to see a new niche appearing and then we try to get in on the action but in a differant variation or something unusual.

But we feel good about the way that 2010 has started and as we seem to be coming out of the recession we hope to begind to increase revenues across all the sites.

Rapidshare Link Generator update !!!

Well the site Rapidshare has been up na running for about a month on the new script and although this was rather expensive rather than the free original one we started with the site is really starting to gather momentum very fast and its just been fine tuning but although other sites offer the same type of facilty we have a big advantage in that it is a multi link generator and offer links to MegaUpload and HotFile and many other Filehosting site.

Another site we have finally up and running is our Adult Image this was asite we lost when the server crashed last year but it was a steady little revenue earner and required no looking after as it ran totyally on auto pilot so this is the reason we wanted to get it up and running again as soon as possible,plus it nice as a added bonus to see some of the images i guess its called perks of the jobs.

We are looking for our next project and we are certain it will be a url shortening site so that people who have long domain names can reduce the size of the domain so that they can add links to sites like twitter ect who only allow messages of upto 140 characters hence you use sites like these.

Our File Hosting site is looking good and growing steadly and requires very little looking after and the only real problem is when we get a take down email to remove copyright material which we usually get about 4-5 request every week.

We are still getting the odd old site back up and running and getting the revenues back too and even higher than we did in the good times during early 2009 it been hard work but we had no option really.

A new Year and another few new projects.

Well we have been busy and been working on a few new projects one of these has been a new adult site Adultthe.Net this domain was bought for the grand total of $9.99 and as we already have the servers we had no idea what to use this domain for but i had some idea that i wanted to try and build some form of a adult community but not really into forums i decided to use a free file hosting script and offer the ability for people to upload adult images and videos infact anything that is adult legal we will take on the site and with password protection this will be seen as great for visitors to keep all there files private and only give out the details to who ever they trust or want to show these file too.

We will get the site up and running and then add some form of a community but what it will look like we are not sure,we will keep keep you updated on this as we expand the site.

The end of the year is drawing to a close !!!!

Well i think this could be our last post of 2009 and what a year its been,it started out with the biggest financial melt down in living memory and its certainly be a time we want to forget.

We had many sites at the start of the year and we had started to build up a portfolio into a nice little earner but the 1st problem to hit us was when a hosting company we had all our sites on went bust but we had transfered alot of these sites over to a new host but it set us back by about 3 weeks or so,then a small server we had our little sites on had a virus and took these sites out albeit these sites earnt little revenue it still was revenue none the less.

And our biggest hit was just 8 weeks ago and our top sites went down and we lost everything but we have since rebuilt these top sites and they are even better than before but the other will be setup again over the next couple of months.

Its been a tough year in every way that you can think about but we are not going to linger on about this,we will learn from it and go into 2010 much stronger.

Adult site is up and running again

After our problems with our server going down about 6 weeks back we lost our best Adult video site this was a nice steady earner but has taken alot longer to get back on line due to various problems but the script has been uploaded and the video feeds are setup but it will be a few more days till it looks exactly like it was prior to going offline.

The only down side is we have lost alot of placings in the search engine ranking but as it is an old domain it wont take much work to get it up to how it was,famous last words i think.

We will then start to bring afew more adult sites on line like our adult image hosting sites but they will be online in a weeks time just in time for when people get the good old digi cameras for christmas present :o)

The site has finally been updated to about 95% to how it looked prior to the server crash and we will be working on it till we get to the 100% acceptable level.

Another new project we are going to be starting.

We have decided to start another new project to go out of 2009 with a bang so what isit all about then you ask,well its going to be a premium link generator based on the No1 filehosting websiter Rapidshare.com so the 1st thing we had to do is register a new domain and last night we done just that and the domain is www.rapidthe.net this seems to be a domain that in theory is shortish and also has a major keyword in it as well.

The script is already to upload but we wont do this till we source another dedicated server specially for this project,it has to be a bit of a beast as the amount of traffic that these sites produce ever month is massive and we mean massive.

We for see this being the biggest site in terms of visitors so what we will then do is then add our filehosting and file sharing site to take advantage of this traffic.

Anyway we have made a start and i hope it will be uploaded maybe as early as next week end but thast is if the server is sorted out for us,but we will keep you updated on what is happening.

Makeover for a few sites.

Our File Hosting site has been up and running for a month but we left it in a basic mode just to get it all up and running and as reliable as we can,so it was time to get a makeover of the frontpage this is currently being worked on and will be finished coded and installed by the weekend we hope.

We have kept it simple but we feel it looks slick a well,this we feel will take it to the next level and hence bring in even more visitors to the site,when we looked at the stats over this last month we found that our daily visitors are increasing but not yet to the highs of late August which we peaked at about 2.4 million for the whole month but we will get back to those highs again by the new year.

You will have to wait to see the new look site but i think that it will be well worth the wait.

One of our Adult video sites will also being given a new look and this will be uploaded on to the server before christmas as we feel that we dont want to hurry the design as we want to get it right.

Its only one month to christmas eve this is a horrible thought as we cannot fathom out how the year has flashed past so fast,its been a mixed year it started out with high hopes but we suffered some major set backs but we will go out with a fight.

Alexa 109,031 and dropping
Currently No 24 out of 1,126,000 for the keyword filehosting in Google search and we will work harder to get into the top 20 and that all important Top10

These are very good figures and is a visual indicator on how are site is seen in the general market as this is all about receiving free traffic from the search engines.

Once again we will update these figures as and when they change.

Well after our main server went downabout 4 weeks back we have started the rebuild and putting the best websites back on line 1st as these would bring in the best revenue.

We have an opportunity to change some of our sites over from i would say maybe boring sites these had been sites that we had bought albeit at a cheap price but we could see potential in either the domain the niche or the both but they may have never been taken to the full potential by the previous owner,so we bought these sites and then just transfered the site over to our own server and then adding our revenue adverts.This worked to a fashion but was not taking the site/s to its maximum earnings so it is finally the time top update these sites which would be around 15 sites and do a full makeover to them all.

The time to get all the sites back on line to how we always wanted them will take i guess the best part of 6-9months but we feel that the returns will be double when this is finished.

We have just checked and our File Storage site has finally got a PR of 1 which is not what we had hoped for but as our server had been down over the time they updated the rankings we have to be grateful i guess but PR is no longer the Kudos it was.

We will be looking at bringing our Adult video sites back on line first the main reason they are reasonably easy to setup and once up and running they then run on autopilot,and then we will start to bring back our 2 gardening sites as these will be just in time for the season that starts early in the new year.

Working hard on SEO for our File Host

Working on the promotion of our File Hosting site this last week as we try to improve its presents in Google,Yahoo and Bing and it has stared to give us some good result in these search engines to main one is google this is because they account for about 70% of all searches carried out on the internet and hence this is the top priority.

We have found that people use the free facilities of the site 1st to see if it is reliable before they take out a payed membership which is natural i guess but its not good for us while we start it up as the vast expense of the servers while hardly any revenue comes in is slightly off putting and hence this is why many filehosting startups crash and burn after a very short time duration,but if you can come through the initial 6-9 months of high start up costs you have a very good chance of making some amazing money from these sites.

We had a few start up problems like unreliable hosting and the site carshng a few weeks back but that is behind us and we move forward to our next stage which is a slight alteration of the design to make it more modern but we could not do everything all at once as time was against us.

A few major problems

Well we have had a terrible month as a result of major server outage and this wiped out alot of our sites and although we had a backup server in place this was not as good as we 1st thought it was.

We have started to rebuild the sites and all our best sites like File Host are all up and running again but to say this was devastating news is some what a understatement but as we have mentioned the best sites are up and running but some of the smaller sites are still down but this may be a blessing as we had wanted to change these for a more slicker version but like most things in life we had never got around to doing it but we have to do it or keep the sites closed which is not sound busines sense really.

We have dusted ourselves off from this major problem but we have learned from it and we have to move forward again and we will get back to how it was early in 2009 for sure.

Will our Hard work pay off we hope so !!!

Our latest site which is a Mirror Imaging site is finally finished,we used a market leading script which looks good and could well have been used without altering anything but we thought to make it unique we would have a special template and header made for us as this has worked very well its alot more slicker and we feel that the extra expense involved will be money well spent.

The biggest problems with these types of sites are the massive bandwidth they use but we found a total bargain of a dedicated server for this site and it was just $30 a month albeit it does not have a great amount of storage space but has much more than the site will ever use this is due to a facilty in the script that uses the cron delete function in the server to delete all the file after say every 10 hours so the only high spec requirment for this script is the bandwidth and we have 1.5TB of this so that should handle the site well into 2010 and then all we will do then is ask the server people to increase this to provide us more space to grow.

We are excited about this project if you could take a quick look at the site and leave us some feedback that would be great.

Craft site has finally been finished.

Today we finally finished our Craft Site by changing it over from being a dedicated Ebay site to a Amazon site and it does look alot more slicker as the old styling looked well out of date but we transfered it over just in time for the Christmas period.

We may have to a few final tweeks but we are very pleased with it,and as it was already an established domain we dont see any problem with the search engines picked the site up again.

This is a sneak preview of our new Mirror Image site we 1st started by getting a domain that we felt was a easy to remember one and then we finally found a script that would do for the job and this was installed on our new dedicated server but the site looked bland so we then decided to look around for a unique custom Template and Logo and this really has finished the site off and look very slick indead.

Its about 85% finished at the moment but it should be totally finished within the next day or 2 and then the BIG launch,the site will initially be slow to start but then they just explode and this is what everyone one wants in a site as we will only be making revenue from the adverts but when they are established after 2-3 months the revenue just goes through the roof and this will be just in time for christmas.

We will keep you updated on the small alterations to the site during the next few days or so,but this is dictated by the amount of free time we will have.

About 4 month back we purchased a general image hosting website that someone had developed with a well known script and had a custom unique remplate made for it but after setting everything up they lost interest in the project so we decided to take it over at a reasonable price but we will be changing it over to a adult image host as we feel that this will generate more revenue but it can be reverted back at short notice if this proves to be a wrong move.

Another project that we have been working on is our mirror hosting site and this will be completed by friday of this week we have everything in our possesion like script/domain and hosting it just putting it all together and tweaking it that takes the time.

Our last current site that we are working on is our small Craftsite this is just having a brand new script added that hooks into the massive power of the Amazon platform and we are hoping that we will all sorted out for the massive christmas traffic that we hope will come our way.

This is the 3rd week on this project Mirror Hosting site and its all coming together well we have new header being made for the site and a great new Template this will make it unique with only about 2 being released to the public by the designer and once the site is live which we hope will be next week you will then see that it does look vwery stunning.

The last part of setting everything up and possible the hardest is the server for this new site it not because of the size of the site storage wise as it actually only needs a small amount of storage but its the bandwidth that is the problem the reason is that a member will upload say one file to our site then they upload to maybe 12-15 other file hosting sites and as a result we have to look at a server that offers upto 10TB or maybe even more as the site grows and its this that is causing us the problem,but we have narrowed it down to one potential server supplier and we are certain we will go with this company.

We will be announcing the grand launch early next week but this is subject to everything going to plan.

File Hosting Pros and Cons

So what are the pros and cons of a File Hosting site,well we have had ours up and running for about 3 months and the initial start up costs have been much more than say a normal site we started ours using a script that was free to download but it required a licence so i checked out and found that we could buy one that someone else was getting rid of and we bought our licence for about 1/2 price which was good but we did have to pay $15 to transfer it over to us.
The site was set up and installed on a dedicated server specially for this site as the biggest downfall with these sites are the storage and the bandwidth which as the site grows so does the server requirments,we offwer 2 choices to customers the 1st being a free up/download but as this is free they get reduced storage space and as a general rule the adverts that we have on the site should cover those costs but then the 2nd option which is for payed customers they pay a monthly or its cheaper to take a yearly scheme out but this then gives customers faster access speed and much more storage to download the really big files like vidoes and music etc

When you start these type of sites they are very slow to start but then once someone uploads a file to share with other people it then becomes the old snowball scenario and they then just explode which is good and ours started out with just a few visitors a day then after a month we have well ovwer 10-12000 visitors to the site a day with 1-1200 uniques which are all new potential customers.

Well i have to admit i have not posted much in the last 6 weeks as a result of a heavy work schedule and fine tuning some of our sites.

Our File Hosting site is growing faster than all the other sites put together although we a not complaining it is costing a fortune setting up the hosting as they just eat the bandwidth and storage but we have started to cover these costs by selling premium memberships and also sahowing adbrite adverts which is not the best revenue company but works well on the host by paying for clicks on the adverts and also getting payed per 1000 visitors to the site.

After the success of the File Hosting site we have expanded into a variation of this and it is a Mirror hosting site and how this works is customers upload one file to many other File Hosting sites hence they 'mirror' the original aand the domains that we have bought are Mirrorthe.net and Mirrorthe.info and these are seen as good because they are shortish in length and easy to remember and they only cost about $10 for both of them which is a bargain in my eyes.

The Adult sites are steady plodders and earn revenue every day so they earn there keep and dont really take up much server space not as much as i 1st thought they would.

Right we aim to keep the Blog updated on a regular bases andd if we have any major news announcments we will post them straight away.

When we 1st started out we went on a spending spree to buy as many sites as we could this was not a good move as we spent alot of times basically promoting rubbish and with no chance of these sites making any serious money,OK they did earn some but the amounts involved had been small but it was the start of the learning curve for us.

So after we switched to fewer higher quality sites the revenue has has tripled and with this good news we have started another Image Hosting site this week but aimed at the higher end market rather than the rubbish lower end which we have to pay big hosting fees for little return,we will still keep the other sites but reduce the size of images that people can store on the host.

We had already bought a mature domain for a very cheap price Image Hosting
and will be using a very expensive script instead of a free one as we feel that all the extra facilities on the new script will attrack more people to the site that is our way of thinking.This will be up and running by monday we hop with just a few alterations during the week to get the site fully tweeked.

The File Hosting is starting to grow albeit slowly but it was a brand new site from scratch so it will take a few extra weeks to pick up but they usually come in with a BIG bang this is after talking to people who own one and after 9-12months they are then very big and earning fabtastic revenue.

Experimenting with Youtube advertising !!!

This is a new type of advertising for us its a video advert we 1st had a go after someone on a Forum had a special offer that they would promote 3 websites for i think $5 so with not alot to loose we gave it a go and the results were very good as they provided us with extra exposure and a very solid backlink or 2 so we thought that we would have another go for our File Hosting site and here is the link to the Youtube video its only about 30 seconds long but that is in theory all you need.

When we done our 1st trial campaign some months back it was a slow start on the viewings of the website then they started appearing on our stats and this has increased all the time,over the next month or so we will be adding some further adverts on Youtube as this is a massive audiance and it seems a shame to miss out on it.

Just had new logo made for our File Hosting site,we think it looks well cool.We have had a slight problem with the site this last few days with the licence key for the script and this was our fault what had happened was that we set the site up using the free 28 day trail offer the reason being that if we did not like it we did not have to pay for it and it was running so well we forgot about the expiry date and we then had the site live on the net but unable to take peoples file.Oh well that is all sorted out !!!!

Well its been some time since we last updated this Blog and the reason has been we have been running flat out setting up and fine tuning our new sites and the Big File hosting site has grow beyond our wildest dreams and the site has earned us revenue in 2 ways the 1st is by providing a small free file facility but adverts are shown to cover the server expenses and also by payed up members who have much more storage than the free members but the revenue is about double what our expenses are and that has to be seen as a good ratio,well we are very please for sure.

Regarding the Adult video side of the business we are adding another couple of sites after the purchase of some very cheap established domains rather than brand new domains that have to be promoted harder to bring them up in the search engine rankings and the expense is not all that much more than a new domain so it has to be seen as a wise move.

Our adult image hosting sites are doing well as for some reason men get turned on by showing there wives/girlfriends or lovers to other folks not that we mind as this is a nice little revenue earner and as the site was dirt cheap and did not require much promotion we had to keep it and also another reason this was the site that started us in the Adult area in the beginning.

The recession seem to be slowing down just a small amount and we feel that the worst of it is over and if we come through this we will leaner and meaner for the future and also many lessons have been learnt along the way,many of them have been have been gut wrenching but we have come good in the end.

Well we have our 2 new File Hosting sites up and running these are aimed at 2 ends of the spectrum the 1st site is aimed at small to medium files and the Big Daddy can handle the very Big money making Files and with this in mind we stumbled across a fantastic Dedicated server with fantastic high specs that will handle both of these sites for the next 12 months for a very reasonable monthly cost its the storage on this server which is the Holy Grail as it has a massive 1.8TB of storage on the harddrives and that is massive.
The 1st site is fully up and running with the exception of a banner/logo which is being worked on over this weekend and will be uploaded on monday but the High end File Host will take about a week to fully install and configure but once it has been setup it should in theory run on auto-pilot.

We will update as when these 2 sites are fully up and running.

Well today we decided to Launch 2 new sites that we have been working on for the last week or so and these are to tap into the Massive File Hosting arena the 1st site is based at the smaller end of the market and offers both free hosting for small files and a Premium section for Bigger Files and we feel that we can offer very high quality and security and a very small rate and the 2nd site also offer a free section for small files but can also offer a Premium section for Massive files and this also is a cost effective way to store your Files.

As the sites grow so will the Bandwidth and storage and this is what will cost us the most as File storage can require multi servers to meet the customers requirements but this will come in the next year or so but at the moment our current servers will be able to cope.

Feel free to take a look we are still working on the finer details on design but the sites are fully up and running.

This has taken us by suprise the massive revenue boost to our Business so we are gearing up and dedicating the whole year to the Adult sector and at the moment we have 8 sites and we are looking to increase this to a minimum of 20-25 by december.

What we are planning on doing is adding some more video sites and adult image host facilities as especially the video site bring in very high amounts of visitors and hence revenue,we had started out using just one script but we feel that we need to buy some other scripts that have far better functions and are better in the search engine department albeit they are more expensive but you have to speculate to accumilate so they say and they are not mega expensive anyway.

During the week we done some extra work on our Adult directory and this is very much like a yellow pages sites so that people can add there Adult sites and it gives us free exposure in the long run although it does not earn revenue as such indirectly it does as it gives us free advertising.

Domain are being bought over th next week or so and we are finding this the hardest part of this project and the reaon we say this as all the best names have gone so we have to either try and buy old domains that people are selling and we hope that we can do this cheaply or try and register new ones that we see as some potential and this is we are find is very hard but we are making headway.

As most of you are aware we are putting all our efforts into setting up and running our Adult websites these are mainly streaming Video sites and Adult Image sites but also we have just added a Adult directory this is for all adult webmaster to add there sites very much like adding a business too Yellow pages i guess would be the best way to describe it.

To the hard bit on how we promote these sites well we have been adding them by ways of links to other video sites and adding them to other Directories and also one good tip we learned about is by adding your links to signatures and also video links to high volume visiting adult forum and this has worked very well.

Another great way we found out by pure trial and error was adding a few of our soft adult videos to YouTube and this has been superb as the videos comply with the terms of service and have the domain name embeded into the videos,this was a very cheap but has produced very high exposure to our sites.

Our main form of revenue for these sites comes from Juicy Ads and also Black Label Ads which seem to be steady forms of earners.

As we had mentioned before its not everyones choice of business but we see it as the only way to earn high revenue in the down turn but at the moment we dont plan on changing this.

Our Adult sector has been our Saviour !!!!

I think the Title says it all really they say that if you want to start a business start one that you fully understand about this could be a extension of say a hobby or interest or even worked in the field that you wish to start the business in.Well we had never even thought about the Adult sector as it is not normally talked about as it is usaully seen as a Tabboo subject but as i said in a earlier post i bought a small site that someone had setup but wanted to sell the site and we bought it for a bargain and the idea was to sell the site and make a nice profit but we decided to keep it.

So from just one small site that cost us $30 we have expanded to nearly ten and these have all been setup on a very small shoestring and i mean very small and the reason is we had no idea about the adult sector and if it did not work out we had lost a very small amount,after reading many books on how people like Richard Branson setup a business in the early days and they have all had many failures until they find that Holy Grail and we have many sites in many niches that do provide us with revenue but it was stumbling across the adult sites that really has kicked us into overdrive and making the big money.

We have just bought another couple of domain that we have added to our Portfolio Adult and Adult2 althought the latter one was one we owned already but changed it from a normal image hosting site too a Adult image hosting one.

The hardest work in involved with Adult sites is the promotion side of them but we have learnt from trail and error and they are starting to motor and built those vital backlinks.

Well this is seen as good news the Bank of England have just reduced the the interest rates to 0.5% this will be bad news for savers though and especially the Old Age Pensioners who rely on saving to help pay the bills.
So we have some winners and some loosers from the move but will this kick start lending again ???

Building a business on solid foundations rather than sand !!!!!

When we 1st started looking at setting up a Business we were told one gem of information and that was start your Business on solid foundations and dont hurry as you will make some major mistakes in trying to speed things along,so for the 12-18 months we did this and as the concrete has hardened we can start to build the business up and move it forward.

One thing i will say and we have learned whilst setting it up is go for quality rather than quantity and i will explain myself on this one as you will have noticed from out previous posts that we have a reasonable amount of websites but alot of these although they do earn 'some' revenue we are finding that alot of time was spent setting them up and promoting them when we could have earned a massive amount from just 10 sites rather than the 50-60 we have at the moment.

So remember always go for 'Quality' rather than 'Quantity' trust me this is from experiance and a lot of wasted time.

Expanding our Business while the rest of the World is in Turmoil.

Over the last week or so we have been working on Expanding the Adult side of our business as we had mentioned before this is Totally new to us and we have had to learn from trial and error and even asking for help from people who are in the area already.

Why is it we are going down this avenue well i wont lie about it 'Money' is the only reason and we are starting to see some fantastic returns on a very small outlay of money and mainly it has been the time involved in promoting these sites and fine tweaking to see what earns the greatest revenue and to think this all starting out this side of the business on a $30 spur of the moment buy which we had bought with the intention of selling to make a small profit,but we have kept it and have just completed a small make over to earn even more revenue.

The gardening sites are starting to see some increase in traffic so we will start to push our 2 gardening sites to get them noticed for the summer although one will be having some work done so it maybe slack for another week on that site but we are having a major problem on the other site though and this has nothing to do with the main site the problem is with the small gardening forum that has never really taken off but we are getting spammed from russia and china mainly with these viagra spammers.We will have to give this one some thought on how to sort the problem out.

Back up or Loose your Websites !!!!!!

In todays Business world more and more companies are setting up websites the main reason is the bigger audiance and smaller amount of money involved in setting a site up compared to say a bricks and morter outlet.So after the site has grown in size and starts to earn you all this lovely extra revenue some hacker comes along or your hosting company goes bust what do you do then ??? Most people forget about this problem or they have there heads in the sand thinking that this will never happen to them trust me you are at a very high risk of loosing this new found money pumping machine.

We had been lucky that we had a backup host installed from the start and although this is seen as extra expense which we wont deny but if you shop around this can be setup for a very small amount of money it just takes a very small amount of time to setup and then it goes on autopilot and only updates new information,we almost had a major problem this last week after we took out a server in the new year and the company has done a runner as luck would have it we had transferd all the sites that had been hosted on the server to another one so we did not have any down time so to speak.But if this had happened without the backup or us getting suspicious we would have lost valuable sites and lost revenue and this would have been very bad news.

So to sum it all up have you checked your security back ups for your site/s trust me it is worth it and wont take much time and the main thing is you will sleep better at night.

PayPal are total Crap and should be taken out and shot.

We have 4 servers at the moment for various websites but one of these was a fantastic Bargain so we thought so after Christmas we set it all up on a Rolling monthly Contract and everything was going well the Payment come out every month on the 8th on time but i had heard through the grapevine that the company could be having problems so we moved all our websites off the host just in case and as luck would have it this was a very wise move.
About a week ago all the servers went dead so that many people have lost all there websites and some dont have backup which is a very stupid move,so as we have been paying on Time with PayPal we decided to do a chargeback which means that after a set amount of time after we have provided all the fact PayPal then revue the situation and we would get our money back but this applies only to material goods as servers are seen as electronic goods that are not covered by this scheme.
Summary this guy from www.level3hosting.net has taken many people for a ride although this does not hit us financially very hard if anything but many people got hit not only by loosing money but also loosing websites and valuable data.

Lessons that we hope people learn from this one this are 2 fold one dont go for cheap hosting as they say if the deal looks cheap most of the time you will end up being rubbish and the 2nd and most important lesson is backup all of your sites,we have a dedicated server with a differant company and in a differant location the reason being is if one company goes bust or catches fire we have all the backups in a safe location.

Well we 1st started looking into this side of the business about 2 months back on the back of a buying a Adult Image hosting site which we may have looked at selling to make a nice profit but we kept it and this started earning revenue from day one so we thought why sell it we should keep it and grow it for the future and this was how we started in the Adult arena.
From this one little site we have expanded and we have at the moment 8 Adult video sites and these have also started to earn money for us straight away,the biggest expense we had for these sites have been the hosting of them but the way we look at it is if the revenue covers the hosting and make a small profit for not alot of work or promoting these will stay but they are more than earning there keep so we are in profit on this project.

So how do you advertise Adult sites well this has been a sharp learning curve for us also but one free form of advertising has been done for us by a guy just starting out in video advertising on YouTube and here is a very basic but effective short video that will stay on YouTube for ever and this is one of them.
Please note this is only soft Adult material in the video.

It is only a very short video but it has been a massive hit that attracts visitors to the main site and that is what you want to do.

So what do we plan to do in the sector in the future,well as all our other sites are all up and running to a certain degree on autopilot we would be mad not to take advantage of it so we will be adding maybe another 6 sites and who knows what the final figure could be.The bottom line like most people in business we are here to make as much money as we can.

This last year has been a lot of hard work that one would associate with setting up any new business but with the added problems of the world meltdown in consumer spending it has been even harder and i am certain that if we had tried to setup any other business venture say like a bricks and morter venture we would have been on the verge of going under like many other companies.

But because we have vastly reduced overheads we can live to fight another day and come through these bad times stronger but i will admit i dont want to go through this again in a hurry !!!!

The new Adult side of our business has been the life saviour as this is recession proof and has help prop up the other side of the business that are in slight limbo like the 2 gardening sites which will start to pick up visitors in march that is the time when the lawn mower comes out of the garage or shed to cut the grass for the 1st time and this will then transfer into sales as people start to buy everything that is related to gardening.

We will be looking at adding some further websites in the next month or so and we will be looking into the celebrity area as we have been looking at the fasination that people have with the showbiz arena and if you choose a good domain name early on in someones career you can make a massive killing revenue wise.We will update you on this one i am kicking myself after hesitating on buying on a Madonna website a month back for not alot of money and that could have earned some good profits for sure.

Ist Pay day of the year for most people !!!

Well the day that most people have been waiting for since before Christmas is here as the pay cheques get payed into peoples banks,the trouble is more people are loosing there jobs every day and we have no sign of this getting better.

In the coming days it will be intersting to see if any trends start to appear in peoples spending habits as without credit people will be buying cheaper and smaller item and this will have a drastic knock on effect on some of the well known brand names on the high street.

Our revenues for January have been stable as we expected and we do not see a upturn for many months as long as we stay stable and we diverse into other areas like our Adult and Debt sites we will stand us well for the future,our only major expense ever month is our dedicated server that we bought last month but in the long run that will be our only major expense apart from buying the odd domain name or scripts for some new websites.

It my birthday today so my wife is taking me out for a lovely meal tonight and gut feeling tells me i will be rather fragile in the morning.

3 New Adult Sites............A great recession proof Business.

Well it has turned out a sound business move to add a few sites from the Adult sector,albeit it this is not to everyones taste but as long as it does not include children and is legal adult content we cannot see a major issue with this and as we are in the business to make money we will carry on with this.

The trouble about getting into this sector and the biggest expense is Hosting of these sites as most Hosting companies do not provide for these sites but those that do make alot of money as sites that use video content use a massive amount of bandwith but we had been lucky on our host as this was a new company just starting out and we got a fantastic bargain and should do us for the rest of 2009 and as the sites grow and bring in bigger revenues we will update the server.

Our other sites are doing OK but we will admit the recession has slowed down some of our sites but atleast we are keeping our head above water and not like alot of other companies who are having massive cash flow problems.Other recessions in previous years have been bad but what makes this one differant is the fact the banks are not lending the money that us the taxpayer has bailed these banks out in the 1st place.

I dont think anyone has any clue when this tragic downturn will finish but until the banks start to loan money safetly again to responible people and not just handing it around without major credit checks on individuals or fly by night companies the big sound companies will suffer and its the credit flow that is the vital hearbeat of any business.

This News over the last few months has been totally devastating for 10000s of people and they dont have much hope of finding fresh work in 2009 so this inturn will have a knock on effect in a all aspects of commerce.
Our thoughts are with you through out this tough time !!!

We are finding that our sites are having reduced vistors and hence this will also mean reduced revenue on some of our sites but as we dont have major expenses in property and personal like normal business's we have to be thankful but it wont be easy but we are certain that our past investments in a wide variety of websites instead of just one sector or item say like cars or building sector.

Our latest expansion into the Adult sector which has massive profits was a sound business move and our 1st site has been transfered to our new dedicated server and although vistors dropped off for a few days while the transfer took place they are starting to come back again.The Adult video site is making headway with the script that runs the site being purchased during the week and we are hoping that it will go live next week end and we expect that it will take a further week to iron out some small glitches but we will be prepered for this.

Our Business model has always been to invest even during very bad times as it has been shown that companies that do invest in times like this will come through stronger as to the natural act of cutting back in spending.We will see but we feel this is right for us but it may not work for every business.

Our little Craft Site has been doing so well since before christmas and we expected it to drop off for about 4-6 weeks into the new year but no it is still ticking along albeit not massive profits but ant profit is most welcome and in the short time that the site has been live it has covered its cost of the purchase and hosting of the site for the year and them after the years cheap hosting finishes we will then transfer the site over to our main dedicated host and this will then prove a sound money saving investment for the business.

Well we have decided to buy our very own Dedicated server for our bigger projects that we are working on at the moment and as these are video sites the bandwidth will be massive and our old server would have been struggeling to handle it and as the price has dropped because of the $/£ it it would be crazy not to take advantage of it.

We have 8 old sites that are running that have not been earning a great amount of revenue and some of these we purchased that were either brand new or old neglected sites that we picked up for not alot of money but they have good potential and we will be working on these over the coming weeks to get them earning revenue.

Well all sales have dropped down and i cannot see much action this side of the end of the month as most people will have spent out over christmas so while it is quite we will be doing some general housekeeping on the business in whole.

Well 1st of all Happy New Year to you all,and we have just started another project to expand our business in a new direction and this is not to everyones taste as its the Adult sector and the reason we have decided to add some sites in this area is solely Money.
We are starting with 2 sites in this area and the 1st one is a Adult image site

Well the website sales are over as the last day for shipping out goods before christmas had been thursday so until the New year is here again and the Dieting starts we are going to have a well earned rest.

Just a quick update on how the year has gone for us so far and what has happened well the sites are all up and running and it has been the biggest learning curve in my life thus far and we have had many heartaches and good times but that is the challenge with any business and especially in the 1st year,most of the time has been put into promoting the sites as actally setting up a site is not really time consuming it getting your site/s known to people that has taken 100s of hours.

What is the forcast for the business for 2009 well i think it will improve for the better as we refine the business model and although it will be a tough financial climate to plough through we feel more people will be shopping on line and this can only be good revenue wise.

It was always the way that Boxing day was the start of the New Years sales not this year as most started to reduce prices about 2 months back and not just by 5-10% but some as much as 50-60% but the trouble is no one has the the money to buy the stuff,if you have some spare money put away for a rainy day you will be in for a treat as the world will be your oyster and you can benifit from anything from clothes through to cars.

Although the major problems with the stockmarkets appear to have settled down a little from the October/November termoil the massive layoffs have started to come and this will carry on for another 6-9 months i feel !!! The strain on the major bread winners in the family must be massive as going to work they must fear that is the axe going to swing and they be out of a job.

As a result of this worry about people loosing there jobs the natural tendance will be to cut back on none essentials and this inturn adds to the downward spiral.

Our Toy website has about 3-4 more days of potential sales the reason being websites have to have cut off date for shipping out the goods this is the only advantage that bricks and mortar establishments have as they can sell right upto christmas eve.Oh well you cannot have it all can you.

The news just out of the US is that the US senate has refused a bailout package for the big 3 carmakers and although its not good news i am not suprised either.When these car makers are making the type of car that people DO NOT want you are bound to have a problem,people cannot afford to run these massive gas guzzlers and the big 3 should have altered the type of cars that they produce,these can take years from the design stage through to tooling up and building the actual cars.
Why the hell they are trying to still sell big multi cylinder cars is beyond me as most people cannot buy them and run them.Oh well one day prehaps they will listen !!!

The build up for christmas is gathering momentum for our Toy and also out Beauty
sites a little suprise from our new Craft with some little orders appearing i am not complaining for sure as every order is very welcome.

Why was this institution allowed to die just one year short of being 100 years old this is one that only the managment can really answer but i am going to give my take on it they thought that because they had been around that long they would be around for ever and that is the only reason.I have memories of good old Woolies from the early 60s when a couple of our relative worked for them and i guess most families in the UK have had some connection or have had some member of family work for them at some time.But they never moved with the times the store format is exactly the same as say 40 years ago and with other retailers appearing over the years like Tesco's and Sainsbury's and it never adapted to change that these new kids on the block had to offer.

I feel for the people who will be loosing there jobs and the prospects of going into 2009 without a job is not very nice for not only them but the family.30000 jobs is a massive amount and a waste of a good workforce and the only people who will be making money from the collapse will be the people who buy the 800 odd properties in prime highstreet positions for peanuts.

For the Woolworth Directors you are a total waste of space i could have used stronger words and for the workers i really feel for you Folks and i really mean i wish you all the best for the future.My mother in law always use to say that as one door closes another door opens for you i really hope that happens.

Yesterday and Today we are told on the News today are going to be the best days for online shopping in the build up to christmas,the figure that was mentioned today and this is just for the UK is £320 million just in one day.
So we are asking ourselves is there a trend appearing that more people are shopping on line rather than going down the highstreet and i would say yes this is a trend that we are finding also.The trouble that i think will happen that the big boys once again will take advantage of this shift is shopping and they in turn will get the best people to design there sites with the smaller website owner stuffed yet again.
Some of our sites are doing very well Toys and Beauty and a suprise our Diets website dont get us wrong we are not complaining.

We are finding that people are visiting our sites more since last friday and it should peak during the week the draw back with websites you have to have a earlier cut off point for taking orders due to issues like postal and other forms of sending the item that customers have purchased,the advantage off buying in the highstreet you can purchase last minute items right up until the last moment on christmas eve.

Well with Property prices falling like a stone this year and also next year we have found that our Property site has started to see some real bargains to appear and this is not only from the UK but from the US and from all around the world as people are forced to sell property at well below what they have payed for them.Granted it is bad news for the sellers but for a change if you have some spare cash it certainly is a Buyers market.

With the property situation as it is you would expect the Furniture side of the business to have fallen apart as well especially after the bad news a few days back about MFI but our furniture side of our business has totally amazed us,not that we are complaining but this does not seem right the norm some how.

Any way this weekend is supposed to be the best for retail in the run up to Christmas and we will check our stats on monday to see if this is the case.

Well yesterday we had some more bad news that MFI and Woolworths these are both massive names in the highstreet and unless someone can step in and take over these will be no more.Two of the most powerful Brand names in the Retail world in the UK have been erased by the financial woes from around the world.Woolworths has around 800 shops and 30000 people on the the books and i feel so gutted for them in the lead up to christmas and the possibility of no job in the new year but the company never updated its culture and to be honest it was destined to happen i think the stores had the look of the 60s and 70s and here we are in 2008 competing against the like of Asda and Tesco's and you could see the writing on the wall they should have moved forward with the times.

So what is happening on our front then well our Furniture site is plodding along just great and we are most suprised that just before christmas sales are still buoyant but we are not going to complain.

We have been fine tweaking the adverts and banners by moving them around and changing the colours of these adverts to gain extra revenue and i have to say by experimenting it does show a improvement so this just goes to show that a little bit of work can increase revenue by a amazing percentage rate.Why dont you try it also !!!

Our Beauty site is just going Crazy sales wise and this has to be the start of the build up for Christmas.From the feedback from the stats we will be very much up on sales on last year we are thinking that Beauty and Health are not going to be hit as much as other non essential things and we put this down too that woman will still purchase these item in good times and bad.

We are not sure what the new year will bring with the tradional Diets new years resolution but i think or should we say we hope vanity reins again and the site is all up and running for this mad rush straight after christmas.

Well the weather man has told us in the UK that we are due for snow and bad weather over the weekend looking out of the window they look as if they have got it wrong as the Sun is shining.

Well i am talking about the Kids toys for Christmas they must have been giving some subtle hints as to what they want but what is going to be the Top seller this year i reckon its going to be something like the Nintendo Wii
or some other computer games console i think that BMX bikes have had there day and i think it will all be some form of electronic toys as this has been the pattern for the last 3-4 years !!!

Even with the recession hitting us hard i am certain that parents will still buy expensive toys for the kids as they feel that they will have failed and let them down.What is happening in society these days is that we have been brain washed and most people dont celebrate christmas for the religous side of things these days it is all about getting the biggest and most expensive presents.

Whats your take on this one then am i right or wrong ???

I am always on the look for a website bargain and i noticed a brand new website for sale on Ebay last week so this had no traffic and no revenue hence the price was going to be small so i waited till the end of the auction and set a price that i was willing to go to and we pounced and won the website just 40 seconds from the end.

So what is this site and why did we buy this site for,well this is the site Chelsea and the reason we bought it was just the shear pulling power of the name and it future potential.Football in the UK is very big business and because chelsea are one of the biggest names in football and have been around for a very long time this has to be seen as a sound business move this will not be like say a individual player or tied down to say the winning team of 2008 this will be here in 10-15 years time and still earning money so you can understand why we have purchased it.

The site albeit being only a few weeks old is already in the top search engines like google and yahoo and on checking its Alexa rating it is starting to climb.

So what do we have planned for this site and how will we achieve revenue well i will say from day one i hate football but i know many millions do like it and we have some football affiliations that are tied to supplying the complete football kit and many other ways like adsense and adbrite and maybe betting affiliations which are linked to football.

The main thing is to really start promoting the site and getting it noticed then we will start adding forms of revenue.

Revenue is Increasing as the Christmas build up starts.

Great news as the revenue has started to build up in the final quarter of 2008 and all our hard work is finally paying off.With the world economy on its knees and people being layed off by the 1000s every day this is not a good time for any business but we are very Lucky that we have no staff or property as such apart from the office attached to our home.

What is 2009 going to bring the business world i think this will be a tough year and many companies will go to the wall and until the banks start lending again so people can expand we will be in a down turn.

Advertising during a recession is a must and those who do advertise more although they cannot afford it will come through these tough times.This is not me saying this,after every recession the statistics have proved that this is what happens.We are lucky i guess that we can add our sites to our high profile Free Ads website and this has worked well,if you have a site or product that you would like extra exposure during these tough times please feel free to add your sites.

Interest rate is down but is it to late for Christmas ???

Well yesterday the Bank of England dropped the interest rate down with one of the Biggest drops in over 50 odd years which is fantastic news but will the banks pass this cut over to the normal everyday customer and from the news reports it seems they are reluctant to do this.Why we ask our selves they seem to grab the money the tax payer have lent to keep them a float but they are not that quick to help us out.This makes my blood BOIL but we will just have to wait and see if it get sorted out.

Well our sites are sites that have been set up for christmas are starting to gather momentum and we are at the mercy of the credit crunch in this final run in to the festive season.

We have got to mention one little site we purchased about 6 months back and i have to admit why we bought it i am not sure but this Silver Info site has start to earn some very nice revenue and the reason why is it is in a Niche sector and we are very suprised and very pleased the main revenue that comes from this site is from adsense and because of this Niche the payments are a hell of a lot better than say the normal everyday site like toys or some think like that,dont get me wrong we are not complaining but the site only cost us under £30 including the years hosting etc so what a bargain this has turned out to be.

Our next major project will be getting the Social website up and running properly but i feel this is going to be a massive task to achieve as we are competing against the likes of Bebo/Facebook and many more established sites but we will have a go as the only main resource will have been time as the site did not cost a lot to purchase.

Well i am totally amazed when i noticed that this domain name was for sale and it was just sheer luck so i took a look at the forum and the person was saying that it did not have long to run before it had to be renewed and so i asked how much he wanted for it and this is the amazing bit i bought it for $3 and it has been transfered to our godaddy account so i am the owner as from know.

On doing further checks Trade2win has over 23000 back links and i feel we have a stunning name here !!! and what i am planning on doing is adding our Blog onto it or set it up as a financial website.

Well as we posted yesterday we have just purchased a brand new Social Networking site and and because it was new it had no backlinks and it was not even in Google search facility but only after just 2 hours of being announced on Digg we had been picked up by Google and we had a amazing 50+ backlinks so if you need a new site to show up on Google just Digg it.

This is the site Social that we are talking about and the one that we have high hopes from.

Well we have been interested in setting up and running a Social Network for sometime and one has come along which is brand new and because of this the price was very very low and what i am starting to do is promote it and get my friend who can modify this site into the Monster that we can see this becoming.

Here is the Social Network site and we hope this will get picked up by the search engines quickly we have just added it to Digg which picks sites up very fast and later today we will start to add this to many directories as we get the ball rolling.

The total cost for this project for just 1 year will be cheaper than a tankful of petrol,we are very pleased with this purchase.

3 Pay Days left till Christmas.

We are into the final week of October and we are positioning our sites ready for Christmas and the New Year and all of them are primed and ready for the increase in traffic but the one site that we would normally be all setup for that season is the Travel site is going to be very hard to promote this year as a result of the high fuel prices and people cutting back on expensive holidays,we dont think the market will totally collapse but the high end expensive sector will be the hardest hit.

The Beauty and Toyshop sites are starting to build up visitors and this is a a very good indication that we have done our homework correctly and we cannot do any more work to these as they have had everything done about 2 weeks back when it was slack.

But the biggest site by far revenue and visitor wise is our Free Ads this was setup more as a exercise to try out differant forms of promotion for our own sites but after we heavily promoted the site it is growing on a daily basis and not only helps us to promote our own sites but other also i am certain it was the FREE aspect that is the attraction and we are finding that once we have the traffic to the site we have added Google adsense and Adbrite to the site and this also provides us with a small amount of revenue.

Revenue is starting to kick in after all our Hardwork of late !!!

Great news as all the hard work of late is paying dividends and the Christmas season looks far better than we 1st thought but it will take months to get back to how it was !!!

The sites are all finished and double checked after our major much up last christmas with our Toy Site as in the final run up to christmas revenue stopped on this site and we could not work out why as the site had been promoted and our stats had told us that people had visted the site but why no revenue we found out why during the new year when someone had been doing some work on the site but had not added the vital codes so that we get payed this was a small but costly mistake and trust me this will not happen again.What was happening people had been clicking on the adverts and had been buying but because there had no codes we had no revenue.

Gutted or what.

Some thing that i picked up on the news today in the UK and it mention 2 things one that Google is 10 years old and the other news that really was good was the fact that people are advertising more with not only google but generally !!!! So this sounds like that we could well be in for a good run up to christmas after all or should i say not as bad as we had 1st thought.

We have finally finished our 3 best sites and these are being promoted as we go into the weekend and will be add to some very good directories and top forums in our signature links.One good thing about the new sites is the fact that the contents are changing all the time with new products and the search engines latch onto this and they will then keep coming back not like our old static type of sites which had been good when we started out but as you learn you adapt your sites to take advantage of this fact.

It has been a crazy week not really knowing what the future revenue would be like and modifying these sites but we feel it has been all worth it and we have noticed when we have checked our visitor stats they are showing a gradual increase,this we hope will transfer in to higher revenue.

On going i am looking at possible another couple of projects and these will be announced as we start to get things up and running.

While thing are slow we are Working on some new Projects.

Because sales have slowed a little be have decided the right thing to do is update some of our out dated sites and also work flat out on some new Online Projects and we feel this is the way to move the Business forward when the consumer confidence comes back.

One of the projects is our old 1990s style Diets site that we will do a complete makeover and bring it bang up to date ready for the Big Diet rush in the new year and the reason we are doing this one 1st is that as soon as the Beauty and the Toyshop come off the boil just before Christmas the diets site will kick into touch.

I wont let you in what the other projects are as these are new ones and we would like them up and running in some form.

Well is this the news we have been waiting for i think this could kick start the economy again.They are injecting £50 Billion in the the system and offering a further £200 billion for the banks to draw against if they need to borrow any for short term loans but the good news is also they are dropping the interest rates by 1/2 a percent which will mean that people could well start borrowing again.

Our Toyshop is nearly finished and with the financial news this looks far better for sales in the run up to christmas.

Banks are not lending Money and this is the Problem.

I dont think anyone could have missed todays major headlines and all the news is about is the Banking System and how bad it is,well this is as bad as what it can get and it will affect everyone in the long run !!!

We are taking steps to reduce any excess spending on further projects and as luck would have it we dont have any massive expenses like staff or property and for that we are so glad but we feel for others that dont have that luxury.

It is a case of battening down the hatches and put our tin hats on as this will get bloody during the coming weeks and months.

What are we going to do about this Situation !!!!

After we had a bad weekend revenue wise we have to sit down and tactically plan for the run up to christmas.The name of the game is to get our best sites out and higher up in the search engines this is going to be time consuming but we have no option.

The 2 main sites we will be starting on will be the Beauty and Toy websites and this is going to be hard as the big names in the high street have alot deeper pockets than we have so they can get to the top position using Adwords but it will cost them but we plan to do it differantly and with no cost in theory this sounds hard but it can be done because we have plenty of time and this is our secret weapon against these Bigboys.

And our other secret weapon is our Free Ads site this is the one that we can promote all our other sites free of charge.

We will update you over this next 7 days on how we are going even if it gets worse.
