Will our Hard work pay off we hope so !!!

Our latest site which is a Mirror Imaging site is finally finished,we used a market leading script which looks good and could well have been used without altering anything but we thought to make it unique we would have a special template and header made for us as this has worked very well its alot more slicker and we feel that the extra expense involved will be money well spent.

The biggest problems with these types of sites are the massive bandwidth they use but we found a total bargain of a dedicated server for this site and it was just $30 a month albeit it does not have a great amount of storage space but has much more than the site will ever use this is due to a facilty in the script that uses the cron delete function in the server to delete all the file after say every 10 hours so the only high spec requirment for this script is the bandwidth and we have 1.5TB of this so that should handle the site well into 2010 and then all we will do then is ask the server people to increase this to provide us more space to grow.

Craft site has finally been finished.

Today we finally finished our Craft Site by changing it over from being a dedicated Ebay site to a Amazon site and it does look alot more slicker as the old styling looked well out of date but we transfered it over just in time for the Christmas period.

We may have to a few final tweeks but we are very pleased with it,and as it was already an established domain we dont see any problem with the search engines picked the site up again.

A sneak preview of our new Mirror Image site.

This is a sneak preview of our new Mirror Image site we 1st started by getting a domain that we felt was a easy to remember one and then we finally found a script that would do for the job and this was installed on our new dedicated server but the site looked bland so we then decided to look around for a unique custom Template and Logo and this really has finished the site off and look very slick indead.

Its about 85% finished at the moment but it should be totally finished within the next day or 2 and then the BIG launch,the site will initially be slow to start but then they just explode and this is what everyone one wants in a site as we will only be making revenue from the adverts but when they are established after 2-3 months the revenue just goes through the roof and this will be just in time for christmas.

We will keep you updated on the small alterations to the site during the next few days or so,but this is dictated by the amount of free time we will have.

New Adult xxx image hosting site and mirror site.

About 4 month back we purchased a general image hosting website that someone had developed with a well known script and had a custom unique remplate made for it but after setting everything up they lost interest in the project so we decided to take it over at a reasonable price but we will be changing it over to a adult image host as we feel that this will generate more revenue but it can be reverted back at short notice if this proves to be a wrong move.

Another project that we have been working on is our mirror hosting site and this will be completed by friday of this week we have everything in our possesion like script/domain and hosting it just putting it all together and tweaking it that takes the time.

Our last current site that we are working on is our small Craftsite this is just having a brand new script added that hooks into the massive power of the Amazon platform and we are hoping that we will all sorted out for the massive christmas traffic that we hope will come our way.

Does anyone else see green shoots of growth or are you still finding it hard going ???

Our new Mirror Hosting site will be better than sex.

This is the 3rd week on this project Mirror Hosting site and its all coming together well we have new header being made for the site and a great new Template this will make it unique with only about 2 being released to the public by the designer and once the site is live which we hope will be next week you will then see that it does look vwery stunning.

The last part of setting everything up and possible the hardest is the server for this new site it not because of the size of the site storage wise as it actually only needs a small amount of storage but its the bandwidth that is the problem the reason is that a member will upload say one file to our site then they upload to maybe 12-15 other file hosting sites and as a result we have to look at a server that offers upto 10TB or maybe even more as the site grows and its this that is causing us the problem,but we have narrowed it down to one potential server supplier and we are certain we will go with this company.

We will be announcing the grand launch early next week but this is subject to everything going to plan.

File Hosting Pros and Cons

So what are the pros and cons of a File Hosting site,well we have had ours up and running for about 3 months and the initial start up costs have been much more than say a normal site we started ours using a script that was free to download but it required a licence so i checked out and found that we could buy one that someone else was getting rid of and we bought our licence for about 1/2 price which was good but we did have to pay $15 to transfer it over to us.
The site was set up and installed on a dedicated server specially for this site as the biggest downfall with these sites are the storage and the bandwidth which as the site grows so does the server requirments,we offwer 2 choices to customers the 1st being a free up/download but as this is free they get reduced storage space and as a general rule the adverts that we have on the site should cover those costs but then the 2nd option which is for payed customers they pay a monthly or its cheaper to take a yearly scheme out but this then gives customers faster access speed and much more storage to download the really big files like vidoes and music etc

When you start these type of sites they are very slow to start but then once someone uploads a file to share with other people it then becomes the old snowball scenario and they then just explode which is good and ours started out with just a few visitors a day then after a month we have well ovwer 10-12000 visitors to the site a day with 1-1200 uniques which are all new potential customers.
